          Artist Biography

          Andrée Cazabon grew up in Northern Ontario and moved to Ottawa to complete her B.A.

          in Visual Arts at the University of Ottawa.  She then completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has been in private practice in Ottawa for the past 24 years.  Having resumed painting in 2008, she began studying mixed media, acrylic, and encaustic techniques.

          She enjoys experimenting with new materials and techniques to achieve visual depth and texture in her paintings.  Andrée has exhibited in solo and group shows and has received awards for her paintings (Best in Show/Founders Award, Ottawa Mixed Media Artists (OMMA) 2012 and Award of Excellence, OMMA 2012).
